Castor oil packs have been used in  Ayurvedic Medicine for many centuries, to ease bloating, nausea, and abdominal discomfort by improving the flow of stagnant lymphatic fluid and increasing circulation. Topical application of castor oil has been shown to stimulate cutaneous-visceral reflexes that put your body into the para-sympathetic state  (rest & digest) so that healing can occur.

Castor oil is extremely rich in ricinoleic acid a fatty acid that has excellent anti-inflammatory properties, this fatty acid binds to the intestinal organs (or to the area/organ the pack has been placed) to improve blood flow allowing more oxygenation and transport of immune T helper cells to the area.

The castor oil packs also help reduce inflammation in the liver and improve bile flow, allowing for better function, removing and detoxifying waste productions bringing better hormonal balance, particularly from congested and painful periods, fibroids when used regularly (don't use whilst menstruating though)

Castor oil has many health benefits and can be used as a hair mask to improve hair growth and shine and applied to your brows and lashes as well. Always make sure your castor oil is organic and comes in glass to prevent the leaching of toxins into this oil (see attached instructions)
